Nearly 50 years later, Audemars Piguet once again impressed by unveiling an even more refined Jumbo, crafted from a much more special material: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin 15202IP.OO.1240IP.01.
Instead of stainless steel, this new version features a case made from Titanium, a material commonly used in the aerospace industry for its lightweight and high durability. However, despite its advantages, Titanium has only recently been utilized in the watchmaking industry due to its extreme hardness, which makes the process of brushing and polishing exceptionally difficult.
Thanks to technological advancements in the 21st century, watch brands have finally developed the ability to work with Titanium effectively, creating timepieces that are both beautiful and sophisticated. Nevertheless, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin 15202IP.OO.1240IP.01 is still produced in a limited quantity of only 250 pieces, maintaining its exclusivity and unique appeal.
